If you need an NIW immigration lawyer (NIW attorney), EB-1 lawyer (EB-1A, EB-1B or EB-1C attorney), EB-2 lawyer, EB-3 lawyer, EB-5 immigration lawyer (investor immigration lawyer), extraordinary ability immigration lawyer, H-1B lawyer (H1B attorney), O-1 visa lawyer (O-1 attorney), L-1 visa lawyer (L-1 attorney), U visa lawyer, V visa lawyer, VAWA green card lawyer (VAWA attorney) or domestic violence green card lawyer, you can book an appointment first to assess which category may apply.
1. Marriage Green Cards and Family Immigration
Marriage Green Card
We help U.S. citizens and permanent residents file green card applications for eligible spouses. Services include:
- I-130 petition for alien relative.
- I-485 adjustment of status inside the United States.
- Consular processing abroad and National Visa Center (NVC) document preparation.
- Organizing evidence that the marriage is genuine and preparing for the interview.
- Work permit and travel document applications, where eligible.
- I-751 petition to remove the conditions on a two-year conditional green card, including joint petitions and eligible waiver requests.
- Analysis of and responses to Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny.
Family Immigration
Based on the applicant's citizenship or permanent resident status, the family relationship and the beneficiary's circumstances, we assess which immigration category may apply and help with eligible family petitions for spouses, children, parents and siblings, including issues involving visa backlogs, consular processing and adjustment of status inside the United States.
2. Special Immigrant Juvenile Status | SIJS
For young people who may have been abused, neglected or abandoned by one or both parents, or who face a similar situation under state law, we assess eligibility for Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status.
Services include:
- Assessment of the young person's and family's circumstances.
- Related state court guardianship, custody or other applicable proceedings.
- Applications for the special findings required from the state court.
- I-360 petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile status.
- Assessment of a later green card application based on visa availability and individual eligibility.
SIJ cases involve requirements on age, marital status, state court jurisdiction and court findings, so they should be assessed early. Approval of the I-360 and obtaining a green card are separate stages.
3. VAWA Self-Petitions for Domestic Violence Survivors
We provide VAWA self-petition services for eligible applicants who have suffered domestic violence or extreme cruelty. VAWA is not limited to women; eligible men may also apply.
Services include:
- Assessment of VAWA eligibility and the family relationship.
- I-360 self-petition.
- Organizing personal statements and evidence of the marriage, shared residence and similar facts.
- Organizing medical and psychological evaluations, police reports and other related evidence.
- Adjustment of status and work permit applications, where eligible.
- Responding to evidence requests and following up on the case.
We respect applicants' privacy and communication needs, and plan the evidence to be gathered around their specific experiences.
4. Naturalization
We help eligible permanent residents apply for U.S. citizenship. Services include:
- N-400 eligibility assessment and application.
- Review of continuous residence, physical presence and travel records.
- Assessment of the requirements for naturalization through marriage.
- Preparation for the naturalization interview and the English and civics tests.
- Assessment of eligible language test exemptions or disability accommodation requests.
- Case analysis involving criminal records, taxes or long absences from the United States.
5. Employment-Based Immigration | EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 and NIW
Employment-based immigration includes different filing paths. EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 should not all be called "extraordinary ability" immigration; NIW is a national interest waiver under EB-2.
EB-1 First Preference Employment-Based Immigration
Based on your achievements, position and employer, we assess the following categories:
- EB-1A Extraordinary Ability: for people of extraordinary ability in science, the arts, education, business or athletics who meet the criteria.
- EB-1B Outstanding Professors and Researchers: for eligible professors or researchers whose petition is supported by an employer.
- EB-1C Multinational Executives and Managers: for eligible managers and executives of multinational companies.
EB-2 Second Preference Employment-Based Immigration
We help applicants with advanced degrees or exceptional ability who meet the relevant requirements, including assessing employer-sponsored paths and the NIW national interest waiver path.
NIW National Interest Waiver
We assess NIW eligibility for researchers, engineers, medical professionals, entrepreneurs and other professionals. Eligible applicants may request a waiver of the job offer and labor certification requirements and may file the immigrant petition themselves.
Services include assessing your professional background, analyzing the work you plan to pursue, organizing evidence of your achievements, guiding recommendation letter materials and preparing the application documents. Having an advanced degree, patents or papers alone does not automatically meet the NIW requirements.
EB-3 Third Preference Employment-Based Immigration
We help employers and eligible professionals, skilled workers and other workers, including assessing the position and qualifications, applicable PERM labor certification, the I-140 petition, and later adjustment of status or consular processing.
6. Work and Business Nonimmigrant Visas
L-1 Intracompany Transferees
We serve eligible multinational companies transferring personnel, including L-1A executives or managers, L-1B specialized-knowledge employees, and eligible new U.S. office petitions.
O-1 Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement
For applicants in science, education, business, athletics, the arts, and film and television who meet the relevant criteria, we provide eligibility assessment, organization of achievement evidence and filing services.
H-1B Specialty Occupations
For U.S. employers and eligible professionals, we analyze how the position, degree and field of study match, and help with applicable registration, petitions, extensions, change of employer and amended petitions.
7. Student and Exchange Visitor Visas
F-1 Student Visas and Status
For people coming to the U.S. to study and for students already here, we advise on visa documents, change of status inside the U.S., maintaining status and related immigration questions, and assess matters such as CPT and OPT in light of the school's international student office requirements.
J-1 Exchange Visitor Visas and Status
For visiting scholars, researchers and other eligible exchange visitors, we provide legal services including analysis of visa and status issues, assessment of the two-year home residence requirement, and applicable waiver applications.
8. Protection for Crime Victims | U Visa
We assess eligibility for U nonimmigrant status for victims of certain crimes. This category generally involves substantial physical or mental harm from a crime and helping law enforcement investigate or prosecute it.
Services include eligibility assessment, help with requests for law enforcement certification, organizing evidence of the victimization and harm, petitions for eligible family members, and assessment of a later green card application.
9. Family Reunification for Certain Green Card Holders | V Visa
The V visa applies to spouses and children of U.S. permanent residents who meet specific historical conditions. It mainly involves I-130 petitions filed on or before December 21, 2000, and other statutory requirements, and its scope is very limited.
Based on the original filing records, the family relationship and the progress of the case, we can assess whether you meet the V visa conditions or whether another family immigration path may apply.
Complex Immigration Problems and Responding to Adverse Decisions
When an application runs into a request for evidence, a notice of intent to deny, a denial, a break in status or a background issue, we help review the application record and official documents, identify the points in dispute and evaluate the procedures that may be available.
For cases involving criminal records, changes in marital status, allegations of past false statements or immigration court proceedings, we coordinate with lawyers in the relevant areas of law for a joint analysis as needed. Specific forms of relief and deadlines must be determined from the case documents and the applicable procedures.
